Every year the National Entrepreneurship Network celebrates the Entrepreneurship week in the second week of February, encouraging institutes and their e-cells to have a wide array of events to encourage innovation and development. For this one week, lakhs of people across the country will celebrate Entrepreneurship Week India. This year too, the e-week was celebrated from February 10-17, 2018 at the campus. E-cell members of NITMAS and TNU thought that there is no better way to innovate than out of all that everyone else discards as “waste”. In the week long programme therefore, E-cell looked forward to innovating and exploring the sanctity of all that we throw away. The events were evenly distributed throughout the week. E-Week -2018 was inaugurated by Dr. Rajeev Verma and Mr. Suhas. Mukherjee by planting saplings, in accordance to the theme.There were many events like "SCAVENGER HUNT”- testing of the mind's ability to think out of the Box, "INNOVATION & YOU”-creativity skills and innovation through technical or non-technical projects, "MASTER CHEF”-assimilate a Dish without the use of fire, "AD-MADS"-making a short video promoting one of the articles of daily use, “$1 VENTURE”-purchase wares with an amount and sell them, "Rang De RANGOLI”- logo designing by making a rangoli and "B-PLAN"-present a business plan of a given product. All events had a great success. The week ends with prize distribution ceremony among the winners.
Neotia Institue of Technology, Management and Science (NITMAS) and The Neotia University (TNU) organised a open seminar on " Industry Alignment for Students" on 26th November 2017 at Campus .Over 100 Students and Faculty members attended the Programme.
Mr. Aaquib Hussain, Founder I&WE group under the NeoTech Hub Company (www.neotechub.com), was the eminent speaker.
The programme was inaugurated by honourable Principal of NITMAS, Prof. Dr. Sujoy Biswas. Mr. Hussain then held an extremely informative and enlightening presentation on various training programs (IoT, cybersecurity, data analytics, etc) its scope and industry opportunities.
The Students enjoyed the presentation and the interactive session and asked several intelligent and pertinent questions.
One day Seminar on "Bridge the gap between School education and Higher Studies in India", organized by ‘The Neotia University’ and ‘Neotia Institute of Technology, Management and Science’ held on 16th September, 2017 (Saturday) at Regal Guest House, Mechada.HMs, AHMs and Assistant Teachers from various Schools registered for the Seminar and actively participated in the interaction session responding to our call to come together in making West Bengal a high seat of learning, like always.
The seminar started with lighting of lamp by the hon’ble Vice Chancellor of TNU Prof. A. S. Kolaskar, the Registrar of TNU Dr. Rajeev Verma, the Principal of NITMAS Dr. Sujay Biswas and the Head HR & Administration Mr. Suhas Mukherjee. Dr. Debajyoti De presented the welcome note. Prof. A. S. Kolaskar addressed the gathering and shared his huge experience in the field of academics with delegates regarding establishing continuity between school and higher education. Dr. Sujay Biswas presented a lecture on creating awareness among the school students regarding courses of cutting edge technology and research. The seminar continued with the lectures by Mr. Neilesh Chakravartee and Mr. Gopal Debnath regarding the vision and mission of TNU and NITMAS and Campus facilities. Delegates enjoyed the interactive session with Mr. Suhas Mukherjee mostly. In that session the delegates came out with proposals that how TNU and NITMAS can reach the rural students and create awareness regarding versatile career prospects according to the necessity of modern days.
Freshers' Welcome "ABHIGRAHA-2017"
"ABHIGRAHA 2K17", the Annual Freshers welcome program,held on NITMAS and TNU campus on 15th September 2017. The program started with an interactive presentation by AKANTRIK, E-Cell & Entrepreneurship Club. The Freshers got an opportunity to interact with their Seniors, which was thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable. A Selfie-Clicking Counter with props was set up by the E-Cell likened things up. This was followed by an excellently organised Cultural Program comprising Slam Poetry, Dances, Skit and Street play, Rock Band Performances, Group Songs and other performances that kept the audience enthralled and captivating. The program was deeply appreciated and loved by our Freshers.
