One day Symposium on "Establishing Continuity Between School and Higher Education"

Neotia Institute of Technology, Management and Science (NITMAS) and The Neotia University (TNU) jointly organised Symposium on “Establishing Continuity Between School and Higher Education” on 29th July Saturday at the Institutional Multipurpose Hall. The session was chaired by Mr. Suhas Mukherjee, Head HR & Administration, The Neotia University. Plenary talks were delivered by Dr. A. S. Kolaskar, Honerable Vice Chancellor, The Neotia University and Dr. Sujoy Biswas, Principal, Neotia Institute of Technology, Management and Science. Then presentation session started and finally there was an interaction session between the participants and delegates. Over 200 High School Principals and Teachers were participated the symposium and made the program successful.



Orientation Programme 2017

Neotia Institute of technology, management and science (NITMAS) & The Neotia University (TNU) jointly organize “Orientation Pragramme” for the first year students every year.  The objective of the programme is to formally welcome the newly arrived students to Neotia Institute of technology, management and science (NITMAS) & The Neotia University (TNU) family and assist them in starting their academic journey. This year Neotia Institute of technology, management and science (NITMAS) & The Neotia University organized the “Orientation Programme” for parents and students of first year on 25th & 26th July 2017 at Multipurpose Hall.

The Orientation Programme is designed to facilitate the academic, cultural and social adjustment of the first year commencing students. The programme activities are linked to the key strategic goals of the institution, namely enhancing the Student Experience, developing excellence in learning and teaching, and encouraging participation of students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. The programme started with Introduction & Welcome by Dr.Rajeev Verma, Registrar – The Neotia University followed by message from Veda. In the First session, Swami Prananandji Maharaj, President Sri Ramkrishna Mission, Sarisha addressed the audience. Dr.Sujoy Biswas, Acting Principal of NITMAS delivered a brief introduction about NITMAS. Then Prof.A.S.Kolaskar, Vice Chancellor, The Neotia University addressed the gathering. Prof. Damodar Acharya, Former Chairman AICTE & Former Director IIT KGP, was the chief guest of the program delivered his valuable lecture to the fresher. The first session ends with a nice presentation from  Mr. Hari Ramasubramanian, GMU Lead (Growth Market Unit), IBM Systems University Business Development and Ecosystem. In the next three sessions students were introduced with various academic departments along with training and placement opportunities. Students were informed about the anti ragging activities in the institute by Mr.Amitava Banerjee, Director SOMS. Finally students get introduced with various extracurricular activities, sports facilities etc. by Mr.Neilesh Chakravarthy.


A Blood Donation Camp was held at The NITMAS & TNU Campus on 15th May'17 by "AJANTRIK" , the Social Welfare and Cultural Club of NITMAS & TNU, in association with The People's Blood Bank and The Thalassaemic Society of India.

The Venue was at Seminar Hall in The Scholastic Building 2. The Programme was inaugurated by Prof. Sujoy Biswas (Principal, NITMAS) and Dr. Rajeev Verma (REGISTRAR, TNU). 2 Doctors along with 5 attendants from The People's Blood Bank were present. Elaborate arrangements for nutritious food, milk, glucose and proper resting places for Donors were made. The Institute RMOs along with the visiting Doctors have each Donor a thorough Medical Check up. Over 100 students donated BLOOD for this noble cause.





Neotia Institute of Technology, Management and Science (NITMAS) & The Neotia University (TNU) hosted anual technical fest "SANKALP 2K17" on 29th April & 30th April 2017. SANKALP 2K17, is an inter-college technical fest organised by "TECHNICHE", the technical club of NITMAS & TNU. Prof.A.S.Kolaskar, honourable Vice Chancellor of The Neotia University, inaugurated the event.Post felicitation, he delivered a motivating speech for the students and everyone present at the auditorium.Students from various engineering colleges with ahigh competitive spirit and determination participatedto showcase their talent and accomplish knowledge.

The Fest involved different events on,

Robotics that widened the minds of innovators to prepare strongrobots with precise circuitry or codes.

Coding, students interested in the coding field received a lot of motivation from this event. They were given questions to solve, withcodes of their own.

Gaming needed the speed of mind at every stage. Different games like FIFA, COC (clash of clans), Mili Militia and spot games were played and managed.

Quiz, this event was organised for everyone present at the auditorium.

RAMPAGE 2K17 INTERCOLLEGIATE SPORTS MEET Neotia Institute of Technology, Management and Science (NITMAS) & The Neotia University (TNU) hosted RAMPAGE 2K17,an Intercollegiate Sports Meet on its Campus from 13th to 16th April, 2017.Leading Colleges from Kolkata and West Bengal participated in the Football, Cricket, Basket Ball, Volleyball and Table Tennis matches.The Prize Winners were,MERI Taratala, who became the Championsin Cricket & Basketball Tournament with Techno India University as Runners-Up in Cricket and NITMAS/TNU as Runners-Up in Basketball, Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology became Champions in Volleyball with NITMAS/TNU as Runners-Up. The prize of Football Championship was taken away by Haldia Institute of Technology, and JIS as Runners-Up.NITMAS/ TNU became the Champions in Table Tennis.
